“Across a wide variety of repertoire, all performed from memory, the Aeon Guitar Duo shows itself to be first-rate concert performers with a unique personal style. Their sensitivity and professionalism, combined with a deep love for music, are evident in everything they do. The Aeon Duo are ideal ambassadors for our sacred art.”

The name Aeon comes from the Greek aiṓn: time as lived experience, not as measurement.
For us, it also embodies the idea of continuous research: refining listening and musical awareness, towards what is essential in sound.
Despite its recent formation, the Duo has already received significant recognition in the field of chamber music, winning the international chamber music competitions with guitar “Andrés Segovia” (International Adriatic Festival, Pescara) and “Giuseppe Caputo” (International Guitar Festival, Manfredonia), as well as the “Rovere d’Oro” Competition (San Bartolomeo al Mare) and “Villa Oliva” (Cassano Magnago), both open to all chamber music ensembles.
The Aeon Guitar Duo studies regularly under Maestro Raffaele Napoli, conductor and a pupil of Sergiu Celibidache. Their decision to work with him stems from the desire to apply—also within the guitar repertoire and chamber music—the principles of musical phenomenology as transmitted by the Romanian Maestro. This approach guides the Duo towards performances conceived as a living experience, aiming to convey as authentically as possible the composer’s musical idea.
The Aeon Guitar Duo’s activity focuses on repertoire of high musical value, with a preference for composers in whom formal architecture, structural clarity, and expressive intensity coexist. Among them, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Domenico Scarlatti represent constant reference points for the Duo, uniting compositional refinement with spiritual depth.
The Aeon Guitar Duo was also selected by the Fondazione Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena to take part in the project “Giovani Talenti Musicali Italiani nel Mondo” (Young Italian Musical Talents in the World), an initiative established in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and CIDIM (Italian National Music Committee).
A signature repertoire: rigorous form, transparent counterpoint, idiomatic writing for two guitars—sound, time, presence.
